What ages do you cater for? We provide care for children from 1 year old through to preschool age in Chapelizod, Dublin 20. We provide care for children from 2 year old through to preschool age in Huntstown, Dublin 15. We provide ECCE sessional (Free 3 hours) & Afterschool care in Luttrellstown, Dublin 15.
What are your opening hours? Luttrellstown 9am to 6pm Huntstown 8am to 6pm Chapelizod 8am to 6pm
Are you fully registered? Yes, we are fully registered with Tusla and operate in line with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Daily Routine & Learning
What does a typical day look like? Each room follows a structured but flexible daily routine including free play, group activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and learning experiences. This helps children feel secure while supporting their development.
What curriculum do you follow? We follow a play-based curriculum aligned with Aistear, supporting children’s holistic development through meaningful, interest-led learning experiences.
How much outdoor play is included? Outdoor play is an important part of the day, with children given regular opportunities to play outside and develop their physical skills.
Food & Daily Care
Do you provide meals and snacks? Yes, we provide hot nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day. We work with Moon & Spoon catering company for our hot meals.
How do you manage allergies or dietary needs? We work closely with families to ensure that all allergies and dietary requirements are safely managed and followed.
How do you support toilet training? We support toilet training in partnership with parents, following each child’s readiness and routine.
Safety & Wellbeing
How do you keep children safe? We follow strict safety procedures including controlled access to the building, supervision at all times, and clear collection policies for authorised persons.
What happens if my child becomes unwell? We follow a clear illness policy and will contact parents if a child becomes unwell during the day.
Are staff qualified? All staff are qualified, Garda vetted, and trained in first aid, ensuring a safe and professional environment for your child.
Communication with Parents
How will I receive updates about my child? We provide regular communication through daily interactions, updates, and our parent APP Child Paths.
Can I contact the service during the day? Yes, we encourage open communication and are always available to discuss your child’s care.
Enrolment & Practical Information
How do I enrol my child? You can contact the branch you are interested in joining directly to enquire about availability. We will guide you through the enrolment process. We only offer viewings if you are at the stage of being offered a place.
Do you offer part-time or flexible places? No, we only offer full time care.
Is there a waiting list? A waiting list may apply for some age groups depending on demand.
Settling In
How do you support children settling in? We offer a gradual settling-in process, helping children feel secure, comfortable, and confident in their new environment.
National Childcare Scheme (NCS)
What is the National Childcare Scheme (NCS)? The NCS is a Government subsidy that helps families with the cost of childcare. The subsidy is paid directly to your provider and deducted from your fees.
Who is eligible for NCS? Children aged from 6 months to 15 years attending a Tusla-registered childcare service may qualify.
What types of NCS subsidies are available? Universal Subsidy – available to all families regardless of income Income-Assessed Subsidy – based on family income and circumstances All families are entitled to at least the universal subsidy, with higher supports available depending on eligibility.
How is the subsidy applied? The subsidy is paid directly to the childcare provider and deducted from your weekly fees, meaning you only pay the remaining balance.
How do I apply for NCS? You apply online through the NCS system using your MyGovID account.
What is a CHICK code? A CHICK code is your child’s unique subsidy reference. You must provide this to your childcare provider so your subsidy can be applied.
Do I need to renew my NCS? Yes, NCS awards must be renewed before they expire to ensure your subsidy continues.
How many hours can I claim? Universal subsidy covers up to 45 hours per week Income-assessed hours depend on your work, study, or family circumstances
Can I use NCS with ECCE? Yes, NCS can be used to cover hours outside of ECCE preschool sessions.
What happens if my circumstances change? You should update your NCS application if your income, work hours, or family situation changes to ensure your subsidy is correct.
